Fireflies Trip to Desaru!!

I had so much fun during the fireflies trip to Desaru, Malaysia. But as the after effect, I took a whole day resting at home on the next day :P It was worth going there despite of the ulu place it is and not to mention the super early take off time.

We took off supposedly at 6.45am loh! and I woke up at 5am liao liao as to give myself ample time to prepare my things. Was still very sleepy lol.... here's the photo before our departure :)

We depart thru Tuas 2nd link which connects SG and Gelang Patah. Then we had our breakfast at that town. We ordered dimsum and it was A LOT!! yet they forced me to kaotim it ... huks huks ... Good thing was someone helped me by taking my bao away :)
Then we started our journey to the east for arnd 2 hours, but before that we made a short stop at chocolate factory. Jialat u know this shop no electricity one leh .. maybe havent paid the bill hehehe ^^v

Our first stop was Desaru Fruit Farm, the sun really realllly hotz! Until i felt like I was burned loh!! I took a few of nice picture (nice to my standard ^^") before we off for lunch! yay!!!

Ostrich Farm came next. I hate this farm coz its hot like sauna, smelly like shit, and only seeing that stupid ostrich ??!!??!! wakaoz ...

Then they dropped us in one of the shopping mall in Kota Tinggi which I cant remember the name.. So to cut the story short, I bought a Levis Jeans :P heeeeheeee happy happy lol. The shopping mall, it was small, cramp, and not up to date loh but this jeans quite okay and I can wear it casually *oops I mean I wore liao*

Dinner at nearby restaurant with the slogan of "aircon restaurant" was not as good as lunch in a non-aircon kopitiam. Maybe this was to cut our time short so as to allow us to return to singapore faster and earlier :P
B4 watching fireflies

Before we watched the fireflies, we joke around and play play around, not to mention taking photos. And by the time it was almost dusk, we all up in the boat with our safety jacket on. The fireflies so nice, but to bad it wasn't inside all trees, but onli specific trees so it's like a wall with lamps here and there.It would definitely be better if all the trees are lighten up by the fireflies. hehe.

It was a nice and refreshing trip overall! hehe.... where we going the next 3 months ar~~~~

Farewell Lunch @ Breeks

Last friday we, almost the whole team, went to Breeks Cafe @ Harbourfront Centre to have our farewell lunch for our colleague.

He's moving to Perth, btw and yet we treat him western food which he will have to have for the rest of his life there! kekeke!!! oh well, not really western la, he picked Beef Lasagna.

Overall, the service is best, desert is nice, but the food was so-so. The Manager in charge really helpfull and always attend to our needs. Some more I forgot to bring the list of order ... good thing I was able to memorize all of their order and who order what!! my IQ is a real wonders! ps: they rated me as Genius loh on my previous IQ test few years ago ;)

Anyway, I had this Peppermint Tiara as the desert. It was nice and cooling .. but the heart-shaped-choco so stiff and always blocking my way :) Honey Lemon Tea as my drinks and Dory Fish glazed with Mushroom sauce for the main course. I think the weakness was in the sauce.. coz it's tasteless, nonetheless, the drinks is fine.

Today I had dinner at Paragon Shopping Centre Rooftop.. nothing posh la! just a celebration of topping off of the new structure. Actually the view is not bad hor .... considering it can view accross till Grange Road, Angullia Park, till Orchard Central there ....

I think I'm better to be just an observer ... was disconnected from the crowd again ... hmm :(

From now onwards, my wednesday and thursday will be filled with one similar activity, which is called Meeting. It's good though :) like last wednesday ... morning meeting in Mandarin Hotel then afternoon in Paragon and window shopping in between ^_^v

Oh yeah, I had to take over someone's duty coz he's leaving singapore for good. So ... my bozz invited the whole project team to introduce me and to give him a farewell lunch in Sushi Tei. I had this Yakiniku Don, which I think it's delicious just that the meat is not tender enough. On the other hand, we ordered *actually they ordered* Dragon Roll and Golden Dragon Roll and few other sushi .... yum yum .. Dragon Roll is one of my fave in Sushi Tei :P Thanks bozz!~ and Ganbatte Nico!~

We'll be having another farewell lunch and dinner for him again loh. Lunch is with our team and Dinner is with Indo-club~~ looking forward to maan fiesta bah!~ I had arranged the lunch in Breeks Cafe :D dinner I dunno coz its not mine! LOL ...

Anyway, I tried my culinary skill loh.. and I came up with these two yesterday... Chicken Steak and Shroomy Fried Rice. yum yum .....

我最近真的是进退两难。。 因为有以前同事跟我开设。去云顶之前我去了他办公室面试，然后拜一他就再跟我联络。tempted tempted .....

Nevertheless!!! It was a happy happy moment in Genting hehehehe :P

It was superrrr cold de!! rili I'm not bluffing you! The fog was super thick too .... until our sight distance only left with like 2 or 3 meter.

I went and took the "Spinner", "Ferris Wheel", "DinosaurLand", "Monorail" in the outdoor theme park. I dun dare to take the "Space Shot" de .... 会死的！

Go Casino too but onli went to Starworld not the Montecarlo, etc .... and lost RM20 .. waks!

Then shop around buy few things that is on sale ..... oso eat, eat, and eat ... but to be honest the food there is ex yet normal one .... fufufuf......

Waah~~~ 又走了一个~~~

我是说我同事有走了一个哦~ 可惜哦~ 不过这样也好，新朋友多多来 :)

在想。。。下次要安排什么活动呢？烧烤做了，打羽毛球做了，上ktv做了。。。 打bowling好吧！反正下个月再有人走，所以不得不庆祝的。去哪儿吃呢？breeks 好吗？还是the soup spoon好？

哎呀~~头晕~~~ 原来做这条事业并不容易！我自己也是要东要西哪有时间为人家想想呢~~~嗬嗬！

wa piangz~~ seems like lately my life is all about food lei ....

星期四庆祝我辞职的同事。我们去龙门餐厅在Harbourfront Centre，就是ala carte buffet啦。不算是好吃的！大概五分之二这样子。。便吃便说笑话。。真的很开心啊。

刚才呢。。去出烧烤在ECP。。很好玩的！会看到其他人，跟他们在联络。。觉得很好 :) 还省下很多的因为我们吃不完。。重重都吃饱了，那就打包咯！呵呵。。

希望我的人生会快快乐乐的过下去！

讲话很直接的人到底是好还是不好的？有些朋友说我讲话太不礼貌，有些说太直接，有些说开玩笑而已。。我自己呢？我想我是有点不礼貌的开玩笑 :P

Today went out for a dinner with my friends .... we havent met for ... 1 year plus i tink!! And so we went to Marina Square to have a dinner @ Sakae Sushi de. It was $26.5 per person and I tink its not that expensive... considering thst we ate 22 plates of normal colour and 9 red plates plus chawanmushi for each of us.

I felt super inferior leh .... they all super good and fully conversant with mandarin whilst mine is super lousy one .. huhuhu! super diu lian! btw, we're like very multinational lor ... Sg-Msia-Indo-China ... wekkeke :P

I'm super like mynew hairstyle de :)

Ta da!! I had my haircut just today!! I like it despite of the a bit lousy service from Kimage ... well, first, there were no aircon and I must use the table for hairwash .... my neck a bit cramp lor ..... and it was super hot leh ..... show my new hairstyle later if got chance okie .... it wasn't as wat i had last time :)


Earlier today I went to go and see my friends newborn baby ... he's so cute and small ... I still cant tell whether he looks like his dad or mum!! but surely he has a nice lips lor ... I got him a set of baby clothing and a toy the day before. I hope he like it which I'm sure he will!!!! haha!

Went out for a shopping spree and watched Hancock on saturday. I think this movie is not bad but the duration is just too short and the starts is a bit dragging. Not bad though... I didnt buy anything at all except food leh!!!!

The KTV session was quite fun .. Oh it was on friday afterwork session. The food is mediocre although the crowd is just fine. I think my secretary is our KTV queen leh ... The audience was mixed as we have staff from a few neighbouring countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Phil, Vietnam. I would say, as what my preference is, the english song that they picked was super boring and super slow ... liddat how to bring the crowd alive horz ... and those chinese song that they picked was a lot better!!! and its all up beat song which I think is more appropriate for this kind of occasion. Too bad that I cant fully read the chinese and not so familiar with the english .. hahaha....

Sometimes I just feel myself is very much detached with the crowd in such occasion. I enjoy more when there are less people and in turns we could interact more. And I prefer those chinese speaking crowd better ... for no reason though. Lets see how the BBQ next week turns out bah ...

Hmm ... Gossiping ... Spreading rumours .... are those activities by people that is very free. hee .. but I did that too when I'm free!! This few months ar... people keep on spreading rumours that I've resigned la .. sign another appointment letter la .. join another company la .. watsoever la ... In any case, I dont care of what people want to say about me! If they want to do so, then its up to them :) I can only say ... wow! I'm that famous meh ...

But the truth is .. I feel very thankfull to my direct bozz coz he so sayang me (or people said so la..) and he's been very accomodating to my needs. ^_^v 人家说我是老板的宠儿，不只是宠儿，是最疼的叻！哈哈！

Btw ar.... I'm thinking of having a hair cut lei ... at least before any interview bah ... and I quite like my hair in this picture horz ... it was taken on my last holiday with my mum & sis in Jakarta .. sigh I miss my mum!!

We just get our so-called glamour shot of super-long-time-ago de D&D! these bunch of ppl rili taking their time lei~~ dunno dat we wait long long liao ah ... now then gave us!

Recently, my bozz always taking leave here and there, maybe because its school holiday period. But I got nothing to complain though! ha! I become the bozz hoho ....

Talking about professionalism, one of my colleague was super siao. She's those ah-lian type which is not a university educated (or prolly nt even poly educated!). And she wrote an email to me using all the badwords written in capital letter and supersized font ... wakakaka ... i just laugh out loud after reading her email. It is just like flaunting her unprofessionalism, right?

I think even if I have to be angry, I would use my words in a nice order and do it implicitly so as to keep my sanity clean. I've learn my lesson :)

Lately quite a handfull of my colleague are leaving .... and as I observed, I notice that it was like a moment of happiness for them after resigning ... and all of them are very very happy when they are serving the notice period. How come I felt the other way around last time, eh .... Or is it because they feel the anxiousity? relaxity? or wat eh.... But do they ever think of getting strained even more and or pressurized more later on?

If it is so .... Would it be worth it for just this moment of happiness then we resign?

Tonite I went out for a dinner with colleagues as one of us is leaving .... it's been our tradition to give those who are leaving a treat. Until now I still very bao leh .... I think I eat too much liao lar... We went to this Riverview Hotel in Havelock Road for a buffet dinner at $18++ but at the end we paid for $19 per person coz my colleague got a member card there :P I would say this is very cheap lor considering their variety ...

Should I leave too??

I helped a blind uncle get into a bus some time last week... u know it feels good actually to know that you've done one good thing. Actually, i've been telling myself that i had to help those ppl who needs help if I can do it. So ... I'm counting on myself :)

Thinking of taking exam to get the license .... but worz.... so ex >,<"

To get a license, we need to sit for a few exams and the fee for each exam are $350! plus we need to pay for our license yearly at some rate which I dunno .... Then there was this specialist test to get a special license .... sibeh siao! $1200 man!!

Lately i was quite occupied ... since I need to do some analysis that really takes time and patience lor .... add oil add oil!!!

well .... either one of it, I'm sure nobody will like it.

The time for our company trip is coming soon and as such the committee are supposed to think abt the itinerary and most importantly, destination! Well, i'm not one of them but happened to be super kepo to join their meeting.

What makes me irritated is that the one who is supposed to be the chairman of the meeting seems to be selfish. She always push away proposal to those place that she dont like or she dont want to go. This kind of people really irritates me the most! Well, I got nothing to say since I'm neither the chairman nor the decision maker.

Okay ... that's not the only thing i want to blog today!

Afterall, I told everyone that I wont be going since they had picked Bali as the destination at such a high price. Then there were few people making big fuss over me by saying I tried to influence people as such that they wont go. hilarious! yes it is! I knew it becoz few people came to me and ask me whether it is true or not. kek sim anot ar?? Skali i heard those people say it in front of me, I'll make sure they got what they deserve to get.

我真得很累。。。这些office politics的事我不会呀。真的想辞职。 :(

Well, dunno why lately .... I'm quieter.

好想人家的想法，人家怎么对我，人家的话。。 全都影响到我。我觉得有些同事，他们对我跟以前有点不一样。所以我每天都有提醒我自己，少一点跟他们讲话，等等。。因为恐怕那是因为我有做错了什么，不过如果我有做错的话，为什么他们不要坦白讲呢？hmm .... 还是我安静一点比较好 :)

I had this Dinner & Dance nite yesterday ... and it was fun! Well, as a part of the committee, I would say it was quite successfull. Actually, a few of the committee was on leave and the show still go on .. thats surprising hahaha!

But my luck for this year was so bad ... I didnt even get the smallest prize!!! :( only those consolation prizes for small games which was only mechanical pencil lor ..... huhuhu ....

The theme was Shanghai!Shanghai! (上海之夜) and I was wanted to dress up to the modern shanghai style but at the end ... everyone say I'm wearing Milan style :( sob sob!

Wat a busy day today!!


muz bring sis walk around when I wasn't in the best condition .... huff.... havent pack my things ... huff ... havent cut my hair ... huff ...


We went to grab a pair of ticket for Forbidden Kingdom early this morning for a seat in the afternoon. The movie was good. Overall it's nice but at some part it's a bit boring or should I say dragging. Jackie Chan and Jet Li was good but their part is a bit too short, well, limited time for two big movie star.

While waiting for the movie we went to Orchard Rd ... yeah so cliche but I like Orchard Rd :) bought a photo album in Muji. Then tried the Crispy Curry Puff with Original and Yam flavour .... yam so niceeee.... I likeeeee...... yum yum yum!!

Okie ... I gotta go now .... must pak my gear for HK & Beijing trip!!!! sibeh excited!!

27 March 2008 - Thursday

Yesh!! I keep telling myself that after today I'm gonna spend my time to go sightseeing as today was supposedly the last meeting day :) But the day before, the client invited us for a dinner which ofcourse it would be just polite not to reject their invitation.

As usual, our morning was spent with breakfast, taxi rides to the meeting point, etc .... continue with meeting, meeting, and a factory visit (finally!!) but the worst thing was they never told us that they keep the factory temperature into 30 or 40 degree ... so we went there with 4 layer of clothes!!! become super hooootttt!!!! siao liao.

After the meeting ended, we were like ghosts who dunno hungry go where (haha!). So we headed back to our ex hotel (by that time we checked out liao) and had a drink till the dusk came and we walked to the restaurant.

This resto called ___ which just a stone throw away from our ex-hotel (yeah ... everything is just a stone throw away). The angmohs wanted us to order the food since only 2 of us are chinese who actually has a poor command of mandarin!!

Overall, the food was nice but the price can‘t be called cheap tho. It was arnd 1500 CNY for 6 person which comes to be 300 SGD for 6 person. gui bo? We finished our dinner arnd 8.30pm since we still need to take a cab to go to our new hotel in 浦西 area.

We headed back to our ex-hotel to get our luggage and take a cab together since our new hotel would be near one to each other. But this taxi driver is just another disaster ..... he dunno the way but say he know he know and dunno drive up and down but cannot see our hotel!! Then I guided him to my hotel 1st .... walao .... infact it's just very easy to reach.

I stayed in this hotel called Metropole Hotel (新城大酒店) near Nanjing Pedestrian Walk (南京步行路) and The Bund (外滩). Here's a pic of my room ...

I had this funny conversation with the hotel receptionist while I was in the bathtub enjoying my jacuzzi...

*ring ring*
F: "喂"
R: "您好！，你在你房间里面吗？
F: "对啊，怎么了？" *while scratching my head ...since I can pick up the phone, meaning I'm in my room, riteeee?*
R: "刚才我有敲你的门好像没人在阿， 顺便，我可以再借你的护照吗？"
F: "要做什么呢？"
R: "刚才我们细看得不清楚，完了以后我会还给你的"
F: "哦哦。。可以等一下才来拿吗？" *thinking ... woeeeiiii I'm in the bathroom leh!!*
R: "很快的，我现在上去跟你拿，可以吗？"
F: "好啊好啊" *angry and quckly wear sumthin*
*有人在敲门的声音*
F: "等一下！！！"
*我去开门，pass给他我的护照*
R: "我马上还给你"

Then I waited till he come and continue my bath .... without Jacuzzi thingy coz the water bo liao.... just cant think of why they so persistent until cannot wait mehhh .....

On that nite, I just tried the internet and can‘t connect also need to pay >,<" so I just charge my cam and handphone then go to bed .... zZzz....

28 March 2008 - Friday

Today is supposed to be my free day but they had arranged another meeting for me =.=" sibeh sue! but anyway, it was quite fun tho ...

I planned to go and take the metro, and less expect that 人多 is liddat!! super crowded u know ... But I'm trained with metro, mrt, or watever u called that mode of transport is ... so I didnt afraid of getting lost or watsoever .... (haha!)

I walked thru the morning brisk from hotel to Nanjing East Station (南京东路站) and it was a bit cold la... and the entrance to the station is a bit hidden. So I go one big round before found that metro entrace. Took the metro from this station then transfer to the line 1 in People Square Interchange (人民广场站). This interchange hor .... tell u .... sibeh toa!! walao ... I always complain if I have to transfer in Outram Park or Dhoby Ghout but this one is bigger!!

My final destination is Chang Shu Lu Station (常熟路站) . So, upon arrival, I went to buy some bread as my breakfast and then head up to Evergo Tower to have meeting ..... When we finished with the meeting it was already lunch time so I did ask them for any makan places nearby.. and to my surprise they treat me lunch *eventho its not so expensive*

We had first dish was ... beef dipped in oil (but it was nice!) then second was ... a bowl of beef and veggie, third was a plate of veggie, then complimentary chinese tea :) took a pic of the wet tissue package which has the resto name....

After a while, we part and I promise him to treat him back when he is coming to Singapore. I went to Xu Jia Hui (徐家汇) and spend some cash huahaha ..... I bought this Black Jeans at Uniqlo in one of the upclass mall (the one in exit 14 i think). Tried so many things but seems not to like any of them ... until beri paiseh but i dun care since nobody know me over there hahaha ....

Until 2pm, I then rushed back to People Square to meet my frenz ... then we went to ex-Xiangyang Plaza in ShanXi South Rd. (山西南路) to look see look see the fake goodies .... but sooo exxx ..... he bought but i didnt coz he ruin the price by buying in such a high price without bargaining!!!! so stupid. I still 光光的 until he ended his shopping. I told myself .... never go with ppl who cant bargain huahahaha!!!

So ended up we went to Parkson Mall in the opposite. They went up to the cafe and I spent my day shooping!!! I tried some nice jacket .. but so ex ofcoz ... and at the end I went to French Connection which had discounted items .... I bought a few from them :) so happy!!! hehe.... I like their jacket in the latest collection one actually .... if only i can afford that :)

Finished with shopping, my frenz asked if I want to join them for massage, *againnn?* and I said noooo .... I havent finished with my shopping yetttt.... then I bought some bread and off I go by metro to Nanjing West Rd (南京西路站), by the time I alight I realised thattt I took the wrong metro ... Actually I wanted to go to the East not the West!! but think over it again ... 算了吧！lets take a walk!! woooohooo... so long man..... I made a stop at Raffles Place (莱佛士方) and had my dinner at the foodcourt on the topmost floor. It wasnt that cheap here!!

Finish with dinner, I continued my journey to the east! till I reached Nanjing Rd Pedestrian Walk (南京步行路) and enter numerous store to try few more outfit eventho I broke liao!! But yeah nothing to my like fortunately. I headed back to my hotel.... making a turn in one alley then suddenly this creepy feeling surge out. this alley is completely different than Nanjing Rd!! here it was totally dark and few ppl only. So I quicken my speed ... and I arrived at the hotel safely :)

29 March 2008 -Saturday

Hurray!!! today is the day of my "going home flight" yepz ... I do miss Singapore :) And it was raining the whole morning make the weather cooler. Anyway, I checked out and then took a cab to Pudong Airport .. I see the driver also very siam one leh ... had this conversation with him...

TD: "新加坡？"
F: "也不是" *siam how come he know one leh ...*
TD: "那。。是哪里？"
F: *just smile and pretend dun understand what he saying ...*
TD: "先生，你的华语很好的"
F: *bleh .... 想我打你啊*

听他最后一句话，我就想笑啊。。。那有人讲我华语很好？开什么玩笑啊。。哈哈！

Arriving in Pudong ..... then I waited for the others to come.. After that we que .... Walao man! the que super long!! waited one hour for just a few steps.. isn't it super duper horrible??

On the 24th I was supposed to come to office in the morning BUT ... o my my .... I was so tired and yet I havent gone to money changer. So, I decided to take a quick nap before I go out to exchange money and eventually drag myself out to airport...

Hmm.... it's now 1SGD = 5.05CNY which is slightly higher than the last time I buy CNY which ofcourse it was 2 years ago .... I went to this money changer at chinatown at the corner near jollibean ... always exchange money there for any currency since their rate is quite good.

okie .. so now come to the trip .... ;) hope u enjoy as much as I enjoy this trip!

24 March 2008 - Monday

I had to meet the other project team member in T3 (yes, it was my first time to use T3) and I was late for arnd 10mins (yes, so malu indeed). So, there we were ... 3 of us finished the check in and etc etc and waiting for the flight departure. Well, we decided to talk cock at the cafe area (opposite Burberry store) and lim kopi or teh & ciak kaya loti. Good thing that I like was none of them are smoker or else I would be dying for breathless!

Weird .... since we arrive quite early but we were the last one to enter the flight ... waks ..... kong until be hiau stop maybe?? haha ...The flight was SQ836 and it was nice and definitely better than the last time I took Garuda. It took arnd 5 hour and there is no time difference between Shanghai and Singapore
To be honest this is my 1st time taking SQ for quite a long flight (okie ... long for me horz... typical bo lui lang) and I enjoyed the flight hoho ...

Skali arrive in Pudong 要开始讲华语了！哈哈！after cleared our immigration and get our baggage, we burst out looking for the hotel ppl to pick us up and .... tada! there's someone holding our name in a board-like thingy ... oh, and I tell u its quite cold once u feel the breeze of the air.

We thought that we would be staying in Ramada Airport Plaza which is just a stone throw away from the airport, but we were wrong! We were goin to stay at Ramada Plaza Pudong which located in JinQiao Industrial District.. When we arrived there for check in .... I forced myself to practise my lousy mandarin and it was a success! Very fortunate of us that the deluxe room that they booked for us was all fully occupied so we were upgraded FOC into the next grade (superior i presume)

aiyo how to wake up .... it was super cold la for my standard! i was shivering under the blanket lor .... 真可怜不？ it was the 1st day ... so we confirm to met at 7.30 am for breakfast at 2nd floor ... huf huff ... besai besai .... i went down arnd 7.45 if nt 8am wakaka .... but anyway, we still finished the b'fast arnd 8.30 as agreed and both of them went up again to take their things while I was ready!! so .... 我先自拍咯。。

then I went out with the intention of looking at the surrounding ... 不过我冷死了！只有拍这个教堂 before i went inside again to met the other party... intro, short discussion, then we walked to the client office which also a stone throw away from the hotel. To our surprise, the meeting is nt scheduled to be there but in their factory which is a few blocks away... so we shared cab at the end :)

That day was filled with meeting, meeting, and meeting! sibeh boring lor .... till 5.30 or 6pm if i remember correctly. After that, we went back to our hotel and I burstout to take a bath and then took a cab to 科技馆站. The taxi driver just drop me somewhere and told me that the station is just opposite! and I was like ... where is it? cant see any building nearby wat .... that was good that there's this angmoh family alight there too .... so I follow them and ask the guy like where the station is and he told me its upfront....

My first intention after I was there is buying 交通卡 to make life easier in Shanghai... this card is designed to be use the same way as our EZlink card but this card can be used in railway, taxi, etc .... more powerfull isnt it? haha wait .... I went to the counter to buy this card and the office rudely said "新的没有了，旧的要吗？" I told myself that it shouldn't be a problem but before I reply the other officer shout at me "要还是不要？要的话，钱拿出来先！" I was like ..... walao ... sibeh rude. so I decided not to buy it from them!!!

Finally, I go and buy from the ticketing machine for a one way ticket from 科技馆 to 陆家嘴 :) it was 3CNY only.

the ride was okie ... the train was okie .... but Singapore MRT still a lot better and cleaner and brighter. If only shanghai metro makes their train brighter ... it would certainly be better.

Upon my arrival at 陆家嘴, I went to the counter and ask for 交通卡 and was served by this rude lady, but still nt as rude as the previous one. She said "没有新的，旧的要吗？" I keep quiet pretend not to understand .... haha .... then she was so bo pian and finally said "好啦好啦，给你新的就是啦". Then I start to ask 多少？she replied too fast till I only can catch "20块" so I paid 20CNY lor .... she furiously said "这张卡是20块，你要xx多少？" I cant fully catch what she said lor ... but assume that she asked for value to be stored there ... so I gave her 100CNY, she stare at me .... then asking "100块？" I thought 100CNY shouldn't be that much rite? anyway its only $20 lor....

I planned to go to Super Brand Mall (正大广场) opposite the pearl tower (东方明珠塔) to just take a look and then have my dinner there. The branded items is about the same price as singapore one lor ... so I end up 光光的 ... then when it was about time to had dinner ... I start looking for food court ... so I went to this Information Centre and ask the guy "food court 在哪里？" he seemed to think ... but only to return my question with another question!!! "food court 是什么地方？我忘记阿。。 " Alamax!! 我快就要晕倒了，如我知道food court 华文怎么讲，我就不会讲英文！！ okie lar .... then I asked "Supermarket 呢？好像家乐福这种地方" .... he replied ... "我不明白" OMG .... its so difficult to talk over thereeee ..... arghhhh ... I want to scream out loudddd!!!!!

finally I found a place to had my dinner .... to my surprise, it's cheap! and now its time to look for taxi stand ..... go to another Information counter at 1st floor near the main door and ask the lady "taxi stand 在哪里？" She seemed to be lost in translation ... so I came up with this word "等德士的地方" after that then she understand what I was asking :) and she said "你出门左右边都有德士。随便打啦。" And I ok ok one ....

Finally I waited for a taxi ... for almost 20mins u know ... I barely able to bear with the weather outside .. ckckck ... and okie after I up in a taxi I had this conversation with the taxi driver

F: "uncle, 麻烦你等一下给我发票" *thinking whether he understand wat uncle means ...*
TD: "好好。。那发票上面你要写多少？"
F: " 那边多少就多少咯" *pointing at the meter coz dunno how to say it haha*
TD: "好好，你要几张？"
F: " 一张就够了" *thinking wat is these question means ...."
TD: "我这边有很多发票，你要吗？送给你啦" *showing a bunch of receipt*
F: " 不用啦。。" *thinking .... walaowe ... simik lai e .."

Then this taxi driver drove so fasttt .... and drive in the pedestrian lane lorr.... was like fast and furious except that this taxi so ugly.

After saw my hotel from far away, I guided him how to get there ;) I'm very good with direction okie .... hehe

And I sleeppppp after thatttt .... very tired! That nite, I had both blanket used at once! and it sure help a lot :)

26 March 2008 - Wednesday

After feeling so tired the day before, I was very very late to wake up... we were supposed to meet at 8.30am in the lobby. And I finished my preparation, etc and arrive at the lobby 8.25am with none of them there.... so I go and get a glass of milk and a piece of croisant before rushed down. In the lobby, I met one of them and we were still waiting for the other one.... so I told him to wait for me and lemme had another round of bfast hahaha!!! And that was jussstttt nice, as I came down, the other guy also came down. :)

So we took a cab together to the factory.... and had meeting, meeting, and meeting .....

After the meeting, we head back to our hotel .... and we confirm to met arnd 7.30pm for dinner together on the surrounding..... We had our dinner in Red Rooster @ Maple Street. I took a pic of the Maple Street Directory as below ....

Its time for Ceng Beng (清明) time liao .... and this year mark my first ceng beng visit for my mum. People said that for the first year, it is to be done 2 weeks before the day. Btw, 清明 falls on April 5th every year.

I flew home on March 20th with Garuda Indonesia bcoz 21st is a public holiday for easter .. hoho. But it was very 巧 that my ama oso bring forward our trip to 外公's tomb a week earlier which means on the easter day itself...

21 March 2008 - Friday

So .... my 1st day was filled with this itinerary :) a trip to 外公's tomb and I drove .. It's located in Lumajang, 3.5 hour driving from Surabaya. All of my mum's family was there and we burn some incense, paper money, etc .... basically, all the normal things to do during the tomb sweeping day.

After that we went to my aunt house to relax and actually I also need to cool down after kena sunbath and take a pee .... After a while ... its time for lunch :) and everyone voted to go to a place called Sememu which is 30mins driving from the city ...

Its a village lifestyle ... got the paddy field, fish pond, etc .... but the price of the fish not much different than what we have in the big cities leh .... but okie lar at least its ho ciak :)

22 March 2008 - Saturday

The whole morning I was preparing the paper money and things to be bring tomorrow to mum's tomb ... doing the paper money, my sis took my ama buy flower, etc ... the followed with a short trip to TP having lunch in Hachi Hachi ..... (pic as below), also bought a vest in (X),S,M,L and a slim tie :)

It was a lil bit rush since cece want to visit her fren at hospital ... so I waited for her in my aunt house and we also have to pick my koko at the airport .... sibeh rush!
Evening, me n sis went to church ... till after midnite ... huff huff ...

23 March 2008 - Sunday

Its time for us to go to mum's tomb which already half way thru the construction.. Ama keep on stressing that we must go early early in the morning ... the time where I haven't up yet or shall I say not yet fully up :s

My little cousin also there ... he's so cute ... with a jacket to avoid sunburn wakaka .... We did spent a lil bit of time over there ... 拜拜-ing, burning incense, burning paper money, paper clothes, etc ... in a hope that it will be sent over to mum in the other world. I think if mum see this she would be very happy too ...

Later on, we went to Sri Fried Chicken somewhere nearby ... I seated beside my cousin so that I can play play with him hehe ..... After finished with our bfast, we all heading home and I doze off after I touch my pillow .... and I spend the whole day staying at home .. uhm went out to Giant and had dinner ... since I was so tired ....

24 March 2008 - Monday

I had to leave my home again .... my flight was arnd 7am and yet I woke up late!! woahh .... still have to go to Ama's house to get my bfast and cake .... walao we... wa sibeh kanchiong one lerr... haha .... *as always*

I was so tired when I reached Singapore ..... yet I had to fly again in the afternoon .... tell u next time :)
